An Important Message from Jamie

Tomorrow, the voters in the Ocotillo District of the city of Glendale will make their choice on a City Councilperson (of course, those who early voted already have).  The future of
Glendale is in their hands.

This has been a wonderful journey that started four years ago when I volunteered on a political campaign. I have learned a great deal these past four years – and I would like to share some things with you.

First, and foremost, none of what has been accomplished would have been possible without the love, and support, of my wife, Monica (who has been my rock), and my entire immediate, and extended, family.

Second, none of this would have been possible without the support of many old friends, and the hundreds of new friends, I have met, or re-connected with, on this journey.

Third, I am proud to have run a campaign that focused on the issues facing my family and yours, my neighbors in the Ocotillo District, and the city of Glendale overall.  While the HUGE issues and assessing blame for past mistakes dominated the talking points of my opponents, I stayed focused on the things most important in our day-to-day lives.  The core services we all depend on from our City Government.  Police and Fire protection, open and accessible libraries and parks, regularly scheduled refuse pickup, safe drinking water, efficient wastewater removal, along with street and right-of-way maintenance.  All of which is made possible by the hard work, and dedication, of our rank and file city of Glendale employees (who often times are the least appreciated, and most forgotten).  To them, thank you for your service to our community.

Finally, this journey, as with many others we all embark on, often involves coming upon a door that is closed.  At that point, a choice must be made.  Turn around and go backward; look for a way around and postpone the inevitable; or open the door and see what is inside.  I have chosen throughout my life to open the door to see what is inside. Why you might ask?  Because now, that door is open and I can keep moving forward.

Thank you for your support.  AND, don’t forget to VOTE!
