A fourth-generation Arizonan born in Phoenix and raised in Glendale, Jamie Aldama has lived in what is now the Ocotillo District for 44 of his 48 years.

A longtime champion for the community, Jamie currently serves as Vice-President of the Glendale Elementary School District Governing Board.  He is a graduate of Glendale University, has served on the city of Glendale Parks and Recreation Commission as Vice-Chair, and is Graduate of the Hispanic Leadership Institute-West (Valle Del Sol).

Married for over 28 years to his wife, Monica, together they raised three children, and are now proud grandparents of five grandchildren. Jamie has worked in our public school system for the past 26 years. He currently works as a Coordinator with the Maricopa Community College system.

Jamie and his family enjoy fishing, camping, hunting, basically anything outdoors. The majority of Jamie's family live within a 10-mile radius of he and Monica. Family dinners with 20 people or more is a weekly occurrence, and strong family ties are extremely important to Jamie.
